Giving Tuesday! We need your support.

On November 5th, our garden manager Noah noticed a problem with the quality of our well water. Within the next few days, all the drip tape (plastic tubing used for irrigation with small emitter holes) clogged with fine sediment particles leaving the 3,000 feet of vegetable rows without water. Over the next few weeks, with the help of an irrigation specialist and a well technician, we concluded that our water had degraded. During this time, we have scrambled to install a temporary irrigation solution, overhead watering, to keep the plants alive. Overhead watering, though simulating rain, is not a suitable irrigation method for a lot of the crops we grow a TFF because it increases the chances f fungal disease.

Water quality is a new problem at TFF that we could not have foreseen at the beginning of the season. With three weeks of poor irrigation, We know that it is a problem that can and will be fixed to continue our mission, but we need your help. Unfortunately, three weeks of irrigation issues created a setback in planned production. We need to grow to support our mission to provide fresh, locally grown
produce, distribute to our CSA, and effectively run our programming.
Please consider a donation to THE FRUITFUL FIELD on Giving Tuesday or any day. We thank you for your help and support. You can donate through the PAYPAL link or call us for more information at 954-922-0220. We thank you for your help and support.
