Christmas in the Garden 2013

Christmas at the Garden! The freshest locally-grown salad harvested this morning–thanks to our friend Chef Shannon for the prep. Christmas lunch for homeless folks was never more beautiful. Healthy food for Hungry people year-round. Merry Christmas everyone!

Got Greens? Take the Greens Challenge!

Greens Challenge begins November 20

Each week for 7 weeks you get approximately 5 bunches of fresh, local, organically-grown greens. That’s one bunch every weekday to blend, juice, sautee or go raw; what you eat and drink on weekends is your business.

In return, we provide a local food-pantry with an equal amount (in weight) of our greens to feed hungry people.  Everyone gets healthy. What could be easier?

Sign up for your share of greens by emailing maricarl (at) thefruitfulfield.org. Pre-pay the first 3 weeks ($75) when you pick up or by paypal. Complete your Greens Challenge with your $100 payment on December 11 to cover the final 4 weeks. We’ll send a reminder so you won’t forget (but we think you’ll remember just fine, what with all those greens you’ll be eating).

Pick up your share on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6:00pm or Saturdays from 9:30am-11am. Choose your day and stick to it. If you do not pick up your share or make alternate arrangements ahead of time, we will donate it to a needy family or food pantry.  This is a first-come, first-served opportunity at The Fruitful Field. Space is limited.

Workday November 16th

Come volunteer this Saturday at our Garden WorkDay from 9AM-12PM! (Don’t worry we won’t make you put your head in a barrel). And the new batch of honey will be available by donation!
