Great end of Season news!
This year The Fruitful Field produced over 5,100 pounds of produce! This is almost a full ton more than last year. About 2,500 pounds went to the Give-1 part of shares and food pantries. Many unrecorded pounds of papayas, greens, and bananas were also given to community members and various visitors. Not only did we see an increase in quantity, but we also saw much better quality of vegetables due to better soil nutrition and improved pest and disease control methods.
This Saturday May 16th is the last workday of the season! Subtropical South Florida is getting hot–time for a summer siesta. See you on Saturday for Lemongrass Tea, Light Lunch, and mellow work projects. 9-11:30am. Workdays will start up again in August. See you in …
