Do you love eating local vegetables, produced with organic methods? Harvested within hours of being sold? Can’t quite commit to one of our amazing CSA vegetable shares?

Then we’ve got the answer for you!

Stop by the Farmers Market in front of Whole Foods Market Pompano on Wednesdays between 4 and 8  and look for our green table. We will have a seasonal selection of our weekly bounty for purchase by donation. Support local food, support charitable efforts, improve your health, do good in the world!

Record Harvest this season!

Great end of Season news!
This year The Fruitful Field produced over 5,100 pounds of produce! This is almost a full ton more than last year. About 2,500 pounds went to the Give-1 part of shares and food pantries. Many unrecorded pounds of papayas, greens, and bananas were also given to community members and various visitors. Not only did we see an increase in quantity, but we also saw much better quality of vegetables due to better soil nutrition and improved pest and disease control methods.

End of this season Workday this Saturday May 16th

This Saturday May 16th is the last workday of the season! Subtropical South Florida is getting hot–time for a summer siesta. See you on Saturday for Lemongrass Tea, Light Lunch, and mellow work projects. 9-11:30am. Workdays will start up again in August. See you in

Volunteer Workday this Saturday April 18th

Hey Fruitful Fans! This Saturday April 18 is our Volunteer Work Day–join us for great projects: Mulch the collards and peppers so they grow in the (hot) summer sun; Plant Watermelon (yes!) and Okra; and Clear/Prep for *new* community plots! From 9 – 12 noon, wear closed toe shoes and a big hat (recommended). See you in the Garden

Great greens to Food Pantries

All time record! 110 pounds of collards harvested this morning and headed to a food pantry in North Lauderdale. Great to have NUSLA Wesley working with us on their Spring Break Trip! Thanks to Mission: Layover for working it out with our partner Parkway United
