Grow, Gather, Give

Tea in Garden 2011 sparkled on a sunny late February afternoon and by all reports it was an over-the-top success!

Perfect Weather, Amazing Volunteers, Good Food and a Great Fund-raising result for our projects

Here are some of the Stats:

• With a maximum of 100 guests expected we had a “bursting at the seams” crowd of 120 plus 30 volunteers. It was good surprise!
• 13 Hostesses decorated Tea tables in colorful and creative abundance
• Live Music and Speakers set the mood and shared the importance of what the garden does in the community, with the homeless and for the environment.
• Major interest in the Community Garden plots– since the event all the Community plots are now being gardened.
• The Fundraising netted of over $3800 — enough to fund all 3 featured projects– Nursery, Beehives, and Fruitful Shade Arbors — Stay tuned as we develop them.
