Just because it’s a weekday doesn’t mean great stuff doesn’t get done. Here are some volunteer highlights from the week. Chris fixed and revamped our irrigation system– better pressure means better watered plants and less water wasted. George and Will continued work on the Tea

Tomorrow February 26th is our 2nd Annual Tea in the Garden! As you can see we are busy getting ready–including putting up a new arbor. See you tomorrow in the Garden–and bring your friends to Tea in the Garden!

It’s October at the garden, so here’s a little decorating scene from one of our locals (don’t worry, they aren’t in the main area of the garden!) Our big event is Saturday October 23rd, if you would like to help get ready we can use

Summer Watermelon Harvest

Summer heat and occasional downpours are working at growing watermelons and greens in the Fruitful Field. The watermelons are growing fast and beautiful and are  from the planting activity of the Tedder 1st graders on a spring field trip. The sliced watermelon  was served at 

Black Hen has arrived

Old fashioned Black Hen organic fertilizer (otherwise known as dried chicken poo)– Good for fruit trees now that warm weather is sort of here.– Old time farmers would probably scratch their heads and say, “You had to buy this stuff?”

Green Beans for Pantry- Workshop for the Community

Check out what’s starting to grow like crazy in the food pantry plots, green beans! Tasty local organic green beans for hungry folks who visit the Saturday food pantry. As a point of comparison check out similar items at a local grocer: local, but not
