January Fruitful Workday–Saturday the 21st

Happy New Year!!! 

Potatoes planted in the straw (see above) are popping out. Our winter vegetables, both in the community plots and food pantry plots, are having a great season.  Lots of greens, broccoli, tomatoes and herbs going to community gardeners and local food pantries.

So: Get your hands dirty and join us Saturday 1/21/12 from 9am to 12noon as we plant a new round of vegetables, work on trees + other projects that keep The Fruitful Field growing strong! We will also be doing some prep for Tea in the Garden with opportunities for our super volunteers (see https://teainthegarden.info/ for advance purchase tickets!)

Where: The Fruitful Field
Provided: Supervised Projects, snacks and light lunch (with garden ingredients!!!), cold water, lemongrass tea and a feeling of accomplishment in the Garden
Bring: Work gloves, sun protector, a hat, closed-toe shoes, refill-able water bottle
