As many of you know Tea in the Garden 2015 was a huge success, it was dry while the northern half of the Broward county(where the garden is located) was deluged with water. Someone commented that we had been provided with a divine umbrella! As

Sell out crowd and no rain despite a dire forecast for the day. Fantastic group of volunteers and guests enjoyed Smoothies from the new Outdoor Learning Kitchen, Polaroid snapshots from the Foto Booth, and tasted our newest batch of Honey. Snapshots at the link below 

The Tea is still on!

Yes, it’s been rainy in Broward.  Yes, we’ve been rained on, but we want to share the wonder of the garden with you so grab your weather proof shoes and we will see you soon!

Cokesbury Fruitful Field Weekend Update

The plentiful rain has pumped up our turnips to the size of baseballs, broccoli is “heading up”, pepper transplants are budding flowers that will eventually develop into bell peppers, beets have sprouted, and our best row of carrots with diakon radish is in full gear!

  Thank you all for such a great event!  We had over 60 volunteers, 140 guests and great evening of tours, music, art and challenges on how think about food in a world where there is hunger–and what you can do to make a difference! 

January Fruitful Workday–Saturday the 21st

Happy New Year!!!  Potatoes planted in the straw (see above) are popping out. Our winter vegetables, both in the community plots and food pantry plots, are having a great season.  Lots of greens, broccoli, tomatoes and herbs going to community gardeners and local food pantries.

Work Day on Saturday the 29th: a great one!
