Great workday and beautiful weather!

Thanks for a great workday and great photo opps! Lots of good iced Lemongrass Tea, community and sunshine was had by all. Enjoy the slideshow! See you at Tea in the Garden next Saturday Feb 26th @5:30pm.

We will be prepping the Fruitful Field for a great Tea in the Garden the following week. Mulch, path shaping, garden fancy-up. We will have our Iced Lemon Grass Tea, snacks and light lunch! See you There!

Gardening Families

Our annual Tea in the Garden is fast approaching–just 3 weeks away! Planting, weeding, and planning are zooming along and soon….we’ll be ready! We hope to see you there, buy your tickets early–click on the pull down menu to the right

Meanwhile recent Saturday mornings have been family time! Parents and kids have been hard at work at planting, watering, moving mulch and generally enjoying the winter sunshine soaking up the outdoors and eating fresh-picked pesticide-free produce.

Sticks & Stones, Sandwiches & Tea- Dec 11th Workday Recap

Well, really they were logs, not sticks–a big thanks goes out Andy and his strong friends for their log hefting this Saturday! Fruitful Field is removing invasive Melaleucas (tea tree) and making great borders and sitting stumps. Thus, Mike, Jon and Andy in a show

Volunteers Needed- Kindergarten visit to the garden Dec 10th 2010

Kids love field trips to The Fruitful Field! It’s a great time for the volunteers also. On Friday morning December 10th at 9:00 AM one hundred kindergarten kids from Tedder Elementary school will stop by to learn about plants, bugs, citrus and being outdoors! To 

Veggie Gardens and Fruit Trees: Nov 13th Workday Recap

Saturday’s workday had two major projects both aimed at increasing food production for the community: 1) Expand the food pantry plots by 50%! Great volunteers took out rocks, filled the permaculture beds with soil, and planted veggies. Remember all those ‘dirt-y’ bags we asked for?
