Plots Available for our Fall Growing Season

Hello Fruitful Field Fans: Been thinking it’s time to get into the local food scene and grow your own veggies? Well, here is your chance!  A few 10 ft by 10 ft plots are available for the new season and they are full of potential

Summer Donation Drive: Donate $25 or more and get a Fruitful Field T-shirt!

The Fruitful Field is growing this summer!  We are growing our ability to plant vegetables, remodeling our big food pantry plots to grow more abundantly and share healthy organic food in new and sustainable ways.

Help us hit paydirt!
As anyone who has visited The Fruitful Field knows, our ‘soil’ is really a bad mix of sand + rocks.  To grow more abundantly we need a semi-truckload or two of soil.

So, for a limited time any donation of $25 and up will receive a Fruitful Field organic cotton T-Shirt* as a Thank You gift!

Just click on the “Donate” button in the top right corner. Paypal does the rest**

*Limited quantities of the awesome “The Fruitful Field” logo shirt are available;  we cannot guarantee availability over time. US only.
**In the Paypal Special instructions boxvisible during the checkout process, let us know your request:  Mens L-XL-2XL; Womens M-L-XL; or Youth S-M. We will make every effort to honor your request.

Thanks to Zion Lutheran the Model plot is planted and growing

Three months ago the Zion Lutheran 6th, 7th and 8th graders started their hard work at The Fruitful Field.  Today the progress is visible and growing…

Things went from this dry and barren plot…

To this green and fruitful garden!

As the dry barren land was transformed into a green and nutritious space, teachers remarked on the garden’s transformational effect on the students. As an eighth grade teacher said ‘the trips to the garden were amazing–the students returned to their classes energized and focused rather than hyper and disinterested.’

On May 2nd we concluded with a closing ceremony with Thank you’s and plans for next school year:

Best of all the Middle Schoolers brought items from their own wardrobe and pantries! Combined with fresh vegetables from the garden these contributions will feed and clothe families at Hope South Florida. Thank you Zion Lutheran Middle School, see you in the fall!

Special Reminder: Next Volunteer Work Day is Saturday May 19th 9am to 12noon–see you there!
